Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian has taken Halloween to the next level in 2020, turning her house into her worst nightmare: a giant spider-themed haunted house. Kim has always been quite vocal over the years about her fear of the insect.
In all of the years of watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians, fans learned more and more how terrified Kim is of spiders. Most recently, Kim opened up on the show about how she found herself having to face her fear of spiders for the sake of her daughter. Kim and husband Kanye West's oldest daughter, North, is obsessed with spiders. North had been begging her mom to buy her a pet spider. Kim shared with Khloe all of the ways she was trying to get out of it. She tried making up little white lies to scare North away from wanting one and even attempted at bribing the pet store clerk. Ultimately, Kim (somewhat) gave in when Khloe brought a tarantula to Kim's house and North pressured her into petting it. Despite freaking out, Kim did what any good mom would do, put her fears aside to make her daughter happy. With Halloween weekend upon us, spiders are everywhere. The Kardashian-Jenner family are known to go all out with their Halloween costumes, typically having more than one look. Kim has already shared one (of what will most likely be a few) of her family's Halloween looks. Luckily enough for her, the theme did not involve spiders, just tigers instead.
It seems as though Kim is really putting her fears aside for her kids. Kim shared multiple videos on her Instagram page of her house's Halloween transformation. Since the kids could not go trick-or-treating this year due to Covid-19 restrictions, Kim wanted to find a way to still make the holiday special for her family. In doing so, she turned her entire house into a giant spider-themed haunted house. The outside of her house is covered in fake spider webs and one big tarantula. In the videos, Kim gave fans a walkthrough of her unrecognizable home. Her hallways were lit in red lights, covered in realistic spider webs with fake spiders and taunting music playing in the background. North was seen jumping in their library which was transformed into a trampoline room for the day.
In the video, Kim expresses her fear saying, "It's kind of actually my biggest nightmare to have a giant tarantula on my house." As Kim approached her kitchen in the video, the house begins to brighten up despite still being decorated. A large spider hung from their light over the dinning room table, and another sat on the kitchen counter. The couches were moved to make room for a slide in front of the wall-sized television that displayed thousands of crawling spiders on the screen. Knowing how scared Kim is of spiders, her sister Kourtney, who is a big fan of the holiday herself, took to the comment section praising her for putting her fear aside. Kourtney wrote, "Overcoming your spider fears one step at a time."
Talk about always putting your children first, Kim is the ultimate example of that. This house transformation looks like it took a lot of time and effort for just one day. However, putting that aside, it is awesome how Kim took the holiday into her own hands to not let it get slipped away from her kids this year. Fans are patiently waiting to see the many Halloween costumes that the KUWTK family have up their sleeves.
