Latest Movies 2019 | Arrowverse: Ranking The Main Characters On The Flash, Based On Power

The Flash was responsible for adding a lot to the Arrowverse, but the biggest contribution was probably the addition of metahumans. While Team Flash can often feel crowded, it can sometimes be a benefit to have so many powerful characters all on one side, especially when the villains they face off against are just as dangerous.

While each of the main characters on the show is strong, they're not all on the same level in terms of abilities especially since some aren't even metahumans at all.

10 Joe

Similarly to his daughter, Iris, Joe West doesn't have any meta-human powers and instead relies on his resources and connections as a Police Captain. When working with the team to fight against metahumans, he will sometimes resort to using some of the advanced firearms available at STAR Labs.

Despite not having any powers, he still commands respect not only from the members of the police force but also from Team Flash as well.

9 Iris

Although Iris West-Allen has no meta-human abilities, it's her skills as a journalist are what make her a valuable member of the team. The closest she's gotten, aside from that one time when she received Barry's speed for an episode, was in season 6 with her being able to adapt while in the mirror dimension but it's unclear if those abilities will remain even after she is eventually freed.

She also became the leader of the team in Barry's absence after he was trapped in the Speed Force showing that she was able to be a wise and capable decision-maker.

8 Nash

The main version of Harrison Wells on the show changes from season to season but the most recent version and, quite possibly, the last version introduced to the audience was Nash Wells. Nash isn't a metahuman but temporarily possessed cosmic powers when he was Pariah which allowed him to teleport and travel across dimensions.

He also has a connection to all the previous versions of Harrison Wells with the main one he communicates with being Harry from Earth-2. Nash is a skilled adventurer that uses a variety of tools, artifacts, and gadgets in combat and possesses a genius-level intellect like the others.

7 Cecile

Joe's girlfriend, Cecile Horton, is an empath whose metahuman powers didn't reveal themselves until years after the particle accelerator exploded. When she became pregnant with their daughter, Jenna, Cecile realized she was able to read the minds of those around her and had to use a mental dampener created by Harry to limit the ability due to it becoming invasive.

After she gave birth, her abilities changed, meaning that while she was no longer able to know exactly what a person was thinking, she was able to sense and understand their emotions. This newfound skill would make her a useful ally of the team and a great metahuman lawyer.

6 Mirror Master

Eva McCollouch is the new, post-Crisis version of Mirror Master as well as the main antagonist for season 6 and likely season 7. She was the CEO of McCulloch Technologies and, due to her spending an extended amount of time in the mirror dimension after being thrown there the night of the particle accelerator explosion, she gained abilities there.

Her new powers include being able to travel through reflective surfaces, create mirror clones of people that can impersonate them, and blast mirror dimensional energy, among other things. Her skills are so advanced that she was able to best Barry in a fight due to a combination of his depleted speed and her proficiency with her abilities.

5 Elongated Man

Ralph Dibny is a Private Investigator who got his abilities after he and several others were exposed to dark matter while riding the bus as a result of Barry coming out of the Speed Force.

The exposure caused his skin and body to become elasticized and allowed him to stretch and contort his body in various ways, providing him the ability to shapeshift which is a skill that will come into play in the upcoming season. In addition to being able to stretch, Ralph is also extremely durable and is able to contain explosions and has withstood attacks from extremely powerful Metas as well.

4 Vibe

Cisco Ramon is the STAR Labs' mechanical engineer and one of the founding members of Team Flash. Like the majority of the other Meta-humans, Cisco received his powers the night of the particle accelerator explosion however they wouldn't properly manifest until years after the event.

His powers allow him to create dimensional breaches that can be used by himself or others to navigate between space and, previously, other Earths and they can also be used offensive blasts in combat. He can also "vibe" objects or people which can allow him to which allow him to see things from different moments in history or alternate dimensions and timelines altogether.

3 Frost

Dr. Caitlin Snow started out with no powers but after Barry tried to fix the timeline in the events of Flashpoint, it caused it to be that Caitlin was also a metahuman due to her father's previous experiments on her.

Her abilities are based on Thermokinetic cryokinesis which allows her to created create and manipulate ice. Caitlin's metahuman side acts as it's own separate personality that originally started off as a villain working alongside Savitar but would eventually become a member of the team, going by the name "Frost"

2 Reverse-Flash

Eobard Thawne aka the Reverse-Flash is another one of the show's many speedsters, with him being as powerful as the Flash himself. Instead of drawing power from the Speed Force like Barry, Wally, and the others, Eobard's speed is derived from the Negative Speed Force which he created himself.

He is considerably more advanced than Barry due to him having his powers for longer and being to one to train him, but the two seem to be equal in terms of speed. The fact that they are so equally matched makes him Barry's greatest adversary and results in the majority of their fights ending in a tie.

1 The Flash

After getting doused with a mixture of chemicals and hit with a lightning bolt during the particle accelerator explosion, he gained access to the Speed Force which allowed him to possess super speed.

In addition to his core speedster ability, Barry can also throw lightning, phasing, and travel through time. As the leader of Team Flash, lots of the choices the group makes come down to him. Even though his speed is running out, his wide array of powers make him the strongest character on the show with there still being room for him to learn and expand his powers.
