Latest Movies 2019 | Brendan Fraser Would “Absolutely” Return For A ‘Mummy’ Sequel Or Reboot

Brendan Fraser The Mummy

Brendan Fraser The MummyDespite the recent Tom Cruise reboot of The Mummy franchise, Brendan Fraser is willing to return to the franchise for a sequel or a reboot.

While appearing at FAN EXPO Canada Brendan Fraser answered a number of questions regarding his role in The Mummy. When asked if he would appear in another film again if approached he made it clear that he was more then willing to take on the franchise once again:

“Absolutely!”

Brendan Fraser continued by saying under what conditions he would return to the franchise. He stresses that any Mummy film is a hard one to make and said that if there is a fun way to make a new film then he is all for it:

“Just gotta say, I know how hard it is to make that movie. I tried to do it three times, and the essential ingredient is fun. You gotta remember to have fun. So if there’s a fun way to approach it again, I’m all in.”

Brendan Fraser, of course, starred in three Mummy films. In the films, he played series protagonist Rick O’Connell. In the first two films, he battled the Mummy Imhotep, played by Arnold Vosloo and thwarted his attempts to take over the world and were both box office successes. In The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, Rick O’Connell left Egypt to battle Jet Li’s Emperor and was noticeably less successful than the previous two. But it seems that Brendan Fraser is more than willing to return to the franchise.

What do you all make of Brendan Fraser’s comments? Would you like to see him return to the Mummy franchise as Rick O’Connell? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
