From the look of things, Combat Carl is excited about his upcoming mission!

Combat Carl was, of course, the name of a minor character from the first Toy Story film from Pixar. In it, he more or less appeared as an anonymous army man toy who could have easily been mistaken for a larger version of one of Sarge’s army men. The character sadly did not get any lines as he was destroyed by one of Sid Phillips’ firecrackers. But from the look of things, Toy Story 4 was determined to give Combat Carl more or a personality!

What did you all think of Combat Carl in Pixar’s Toy Story 4? Was he a welcome inclusion to the cast? Was Pixar’s latest film a worthy successor to Toy Story 3? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Here is the official synopsis for Pixar’s Toy Story 4:

Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (voice of Tony Hale), declares himself as “trash” and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts). After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. As Woody and Bo realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that’s the least of their worries.

Directed by Josh Cooley from a script written by Stephany Folsom, Pixar’s Toy Story 4 features the voice talents of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Annie Potts, Joan Cusack, Blake Clark, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Estelle Harris, Jodi Benson, Michael Keaton, Jeff Pidgeon, Kristen Schaal, Bonnie Hunt, Timothy Dalton, Jeff Garlin, Laurie Metcalf, Lori Alan, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele and Keanu Reeves.
