I’ve got some great news for those of you who are fans of Jordan Peele’s revival of The Twilight Zone. CBS All Access has renewed it for a second season!
While the series isn’t as good as the original, it’s still a solid show worth watching. I’ve been enjoying the stories that it’s told and I’ve also liked how some of the original episodes of the series have been reimagined for this revival. They don’t feel like complete remakes, which is good.
Season 1 of the series only consists of 10 episodes and this week, episode 6 will air. I think it would be great to see Season 2 get a bigger number of episodes. The original series was getting over 30 episodes a season! I don’t think we’ll ever see that kind of episode count again in any kind of TV series.
The Twilight Zone was created by Rod Serling, and Jordan Peele steps into his shoes as the producer and host of the new series. It seems like he’s happily embraced the role.
The series has managed to bring together an impressive list of actors that include Greg Kinnear, Kumail Nanjiani, Seth Rogen, John Cho, Ike Barinholtz, Taissa Farmiga, Ginnifer Goodwin, Luke Kirby, Sanaa Lathan, Adam Scott, Rhea Seehorn, Alison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay, Jessica Williams, DeWanda Wise, Zazie Beetz, Chris O’Dowed, Betty Gabriel, and Steven Yeun.
